The highly competitive encounter between the UAE and Egypt ended in a 1–1 draw on Saturday evening at Lusail Stadium, as part of the second round of the group stage in the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025. The match was marked by intensity, balanced play, and suspense until the final whistle.
After a goalless first half despite several chances from both sides, the UAE broke the deadlock in the 60th minute through a well-placed strike by Caio Lucas, putting them ahead.
Egypt responded late in the match when Marwan Hamdy scored the equalizer in the 85th minute after a well-built attacking move, securing a valuable point for the “Pharaohs.”
This draw reshaped the standings in Group C:
– Jordan leads with 6 points,
– Egypt follows with 2 points,
– UAE sits third with 1 point,
