FC Barcelona secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Girona this Saturday in the La Liga Matchday 9 clash at the Montjuïc Stadium.
Pedri opened the scoring in the 13th minute, before Axel Witsel equalized for Girona in the 20th minute.
As the match seemed destined for a draw, Ronald Araújo headed home the winning goal in stoppage time (90’+3) to give Barça all three points.
With this win, Barcelona move up to 23 points, remaining close behind Real Madrid at the top of the table, while Girona’s strong run takes a hit.
