The U.S. Embassy in Morocco has welcomed the Kingdom of Morocco’s inclusion in the task force established by the White House to oversee preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, particularly in enhancing security cooperation among participating countries.
In an official statement, the embassy noted that Morocco’s selection reflects the strength of the strategic partnership between the United States and Morocco, and reinforces bilateral coordination on security and organizational matters related to major international sporting events.
The same source added that this initiative comes as part of intensive preparations for the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It emphasized that cooperation between Rabat and Washington will contribute to the exchange of expertise and the development of mechanisms to ensure a safe and successful organization of this global event.
