Morocco clinched an important 1-0 victory over Saudi Arabia on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Lusail Stadium, in the third round of Group B at the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025.
The only goal of the match came early, when Karim El Berkaoui found the net in the 11th minute, giving Morocco the lead after a strong start marked by intensity and tactical discipline. The Atlas Lions maintained control throughout the match, showing focus and solid defensive organization.
Despite Saudi Arabia’s attempts to equalize, Morocco held firm until the final whistle, finishing at the top of Group B with 7 points, ahead of Saudi Arabia, who also qualified with 6 points.
Oman’s Victory Over Comoros Shapes the Final Group Standings
In the second match of the group, Oman secured a 2-1 win over the Comoros, thanks to a brace from Issam Al Sabhi (30’, 43’).
The Comoros scored through Nassuir Hamidou in the 68th minute but could not complete the comeback.
With this result, Oman finished third in the group with 4 points, while the Comoros ended their campaign without points.
