Saudi Arabia secured an important 2–1 victory over Oman in a highly competitive encounter on Tuesday evening, as part of the opening round of Group B in the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, held at Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.
Saudi striker Feras Albrikan opened the scoring in the 55th minute, before Ghanim Al-Habashi equalized for Oman in the 70th minute. Just when the match seemed headed for a draw, Saleh Al-Shehri netted the winning goal in the 77th minute, giving the “Green Falcons” three valuable points.
The final minutes saw intense pressure from both sides, but Saudi Arabia managed to maintain its lead until the final whistle.
