Renowned Egyptian scholar and preacher Dr. Zaghloul El-Naggar passed away this morning at the age of 91, after a long and distinguished career in Islamic scholarship and scientific research. He was widely known for his extensive work on the scientific miracles in the Qur’an, through numerous books, lectures, and television programs that inspired generations of Muslims worldwide.
Dr. El-Naggar was one of the leading figures who sought to bridge modern science and Qur’anic interpretation, producing dozens of studies and conferences highlighting the signs of divine creation in the universe, human body, and nature — combining scientific rigor with deep faith.
He held several academic positions in Arab and international universities and was a prominent member of the World Commission on Scientific Signs in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
News of his passing has sparked an outpouring of condolences on social media, where scholars, intellectuals, and followers praised his lifelong dedication to spreading knowledge and serving Islam.
