Saudi side Al-Nassr FC earned an important 2–1 victory over FC Goa in the third round of the AFC Champions League group stage (Group D).
Angelo Gabriel opened the scoring for Al-Nassr in the 10th minute, and Haroune Camara doubled the lead in the 27th minute, giving the visitors a strong start.
FC Goa’s Bruno Fernandes pulled one back in the 41st minute with a powerful strike from inside the box.
Despite Goa’s efforts to equalize in the second half, Al-Nassr managed to maintain their lead until the final whistle.
David Timor was sent off in stoppage time (90+2’), leaving Goa to finish the game with ten men.
With this win, Al-Nassr moves up to 6 points and stays at the top of Group D. Their next fixture will be against Al-Hazm on Saturday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m., as part of the Saudi Pro League.
