Morocco Welcomes 5.7 Million Tourists in First Four Months of 2025, Marking 23% Growth

The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy announced that Morocco welcomed a total of 5.7 million tourists during the first four months of 2025, representing a 23% increase compared to the same period in 2024—an additional one million visitors in a short span.

In an official statement, the ministry emphasized that this exceptional performance strengthens Morocco’s position as one of the most dynamic tourist destinations worldwide. It added that April alone saw the arrival of 1.7 million tourists, a 27% increase compared to April of the previous year, reflecting the country’s attractiveness and its success in overcoming seasonal tourism fluctuations.

Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor stated that welcoming one million additional tourists during a traditionally quiet period bodes well for a promising 2025 tourism season. She affirmed that these results reflect the effectiveness of the strategic roadmap launched by the government under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which is based on leveraging Morocco’s unique assets and building a foundation for sustainable tourism growth.
